EUIPO

  • Staff is working remote.
  • No physical meeting from 3 March and until further notice.
  • The exceptional extensions granted to users due to the COVID-19 pandemic (Decision EX-20-3 & EC-20-4) will end 18 May 2020

EPO

  • Staff is working remote.
  • All EPO organized live events that were to take place until 14 September 2020 are postponed, incl. the European Inventor Award, which is postponed until June 2021.
  • Oral proceedings in opposition scheduled until 31 December 2020 are postponed until further notice (unless held by video conference).
  • Oral proceedings in examination will continue to be held by videoconference.
  • A limited amount of oral proceedings before the Board of Appeal will be held from 18 May 2020. It is possible to request postponement, if it is not possible to attend oral proceedings because of travel restrictions. Various safety measures at the oral proceedings are in place.

WIPO
  • Operating as normal.
  • All paper-based communication (incl. postal mail) has been suspended until further notice.
  • No physical meeting from 16 March 2020 until further notice
  • No decision regarding extension of deadlines has been made.
Patentstyret (Norway)
  • Operating as normal
  • Staff is working from home
  • No physical meetings from 13 March 2020 until further notice
  • Extension of deadlines
    • Upon request, deadlines set by the Office can be extended. However, statutory deadlines such as priority deadlines and payment deadlines cannot be extended.
    • For designs and trademarks, an extension of at least two months will be granted.
    • For patents, a two-month extension will be granted.
    • The Office must have received the request for a deadline extension before the deadline expires.
Danish Patent and Trademark Office

  • Operating as normal, however applications can only be submitted by post.
  • Staff is working from home
  • No physical meetings from 13 March until further notice
  • No decision regarding extension of deadlines has been made.
